I think we are similar in some respects philosophically.

My soteriology centers around this world and not the next, so I wouldn't really see any reason to stop calling myself a Christian. I'd still become a deacon, I think; it's focused on actions more than preaching faith anyway. In terms of what I taught, I would try to teach people to live Christ-like lives. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" appears in virtually all morality systems; you don't need a particular brand of belief for that.
So yeah, not much change for me, but I can see it affecting some people. On the other hand, a lot of Christians don't think that other proven facts are true (evolution), so I'm sure you'd have some element that didn't believe.

I believe in doing and because of that my entire focus is on this world, not some next world that I (or anyone for that matter) can't prove or disprove. The concept of trying to save everyone so they can get to the next world instead of doing good in this world and acting godly now seems antithetical to the idea of God interacting with man. Worrying about anything but now and doing now is irrelevant (to me).

You assume we all know, and agree on, what "soul" means.

it wouldn't change much for me, but I'm pretty flexible in my spiritual beliefs
