Would it be a good idea to move to a cold climate? You know, because a really cold winter would freeze the zombies solid?


You'd want a place that's as uninhabited, by humans, as possible but still able to support farming. Otherwise you'll just starve to death, although if you find that preferable to saving a bullet in case you're overrun, go for it.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
