I have no desire to see the pictures. I agree with ßelals Girl, though, that the pics will be leaked at some point. I think it's so smart for the government to play it this way.

I just don't know what good showing the photos would do. I'm not convinced it would help with a sense of closure. I have a hard time imagining showing the picture to a child who lost a parent in the 9/11 attacks, or a parent who lost a child, and having it help. I am neither, so it's just an opinion, but I would think it would just add a new nightmare.

Finally, I'd be concerned that providing the photos might inspire a hint of sympathy for him. When people think of him, I think most picture the man spouting hate and violence in the videos. It's easy to think, "That man was evil and the world is a better place without him." A corpse just looks dead and pathetic.
