Obama did? Comedy, both self-deprecating and that aimed at your political opponents, has long been a component of the White House correspondents dinner. A roast of both the President himself and those who spend the rest of the year reporting on or ridiculing him. Obama got lucky this year because he had better than usual ammunition with which to sling pies.
