"Science" never said we were slipping into an ice age.

That was never more than a fringe theory picked up by a Newsweek article and discredited within a few years, if not months, of its publication. For someone concerned about people overstating issues that's a regrettable (though popular) "issue" to cite. It's like saying we should dismiss nuclear physics because Tesla energy doesn't work and therefore "science" erred. One unsupported fringe theory does not a scientific consensus make.

The only denials of climate change I've seen are (stupidly) based on anecdotal evidence.
