I am constructing a shiny leaded piece and am having trouble soldering the joints - I don't recall this ever happening before so not sure what to change to fix it. I've used this particular bit of lead before, and the solder, but the solder just isn't sticking to the joints. Boo.

Anyone have any helpful suggestions?

Not to mention bruising to a very sensitive area; glass has far too much resistance. :[
