People vote with their feet when it comes to churches so I really don't see much impact until they start actually ordaining openly gay priest. It will be interesting to how that affects attendance. Will it affect just the attendance of the churches with gay priest or it have a ripple affect on the churches around it? Do you know if they already have gay chaplans waiting to be ordained?


But yes, there are people in place, ready to be ordained, looking for almost every conceivable kind of call, including to be chaplains. The Church will take a definite hit (plenty of individual churches threatened to walk if it passed, and now it has passed) but it'll survive, and ultimately be stronger for it.

Unless, of course, Christ returns before it has an opportunity to make a difference.
