Wherever you go, count on paying fortunes for everything. Legolas Send a noteboard - 23/05/2011 09:48:04 PM
So, this summer I'll be travelling in the UK, to go on vacation. I'll be travelling with my fiance and our 10 year old son (yes yes, I realize that you may know that my fiance is not the biological father, but things have progressed such that they see each other as father and son). Time frame would probably be around the first few weeks of August.

Even in lesser-known parts of the UK, it's my experience you can easily pay twice what you'd pay in France or Spain, for a cottage half the size. If that. All the same, we enjoyed Devon and Cornwall, it's certainly not very vibrant but there's lots of pretty nature and enough interesting stuff to visit and do. But that's probably true for many parts of the UK.

And of course Edinburgh is fantastic, even without the RAFOlk living there.
