I'm not a cat owner, but I have friends who've had problems like this with their cats and for some of them it turned out to be a stress issue. Is your cat stressed? Does he get on with your other cats? Some of my friends have had some luck with a Feliway diffuser in the room, I don't know if you can get those where you are?

I'm sorry this is happening to you *hug* for you, and give your kitty a scritch from me.
