7.a Men are very useful when moving house (and at other times) so one shouldn't be too mean to them.

Also true. But you must never let them know.

Sometimes it's good to let them know so that they continue to look after you.

Fair point.

8. Fathers-in-law a extremely helpful and good at things like changing light fittings, rewiring, and building Ikea bookshelves.

I have seen you build an IKEA bookshelf. I believe Tim's father came in very handy.

I built an Ikea chest of drawers all by myself and it is perfect. :|

How long has it been standing now?

12. We have a whole drawer full of bags or boxes of sugar. I don't know why.

Does that mean you do not want the rest of ours?

Correct. :P

Damn. Perhaps I can leave it somewhere for someone to force it on Mary when she gets back.

13. It is possible to just Keep Doing Things for three days in a row till nearly midnight even though you are so tired you could probably sleep on a stampede of bison.

Also intersting. Possibly connected to the tea?

I had no tea all day. It was hell. And then we drank three large cups in an hour when we got home.

Oh my. You should really have kept the kettle and the tea around. I could have told you that!

So. What do you want of ours? We are bringing our lamp tomorrow, but we also have a caftière, a printer, a plant (in a goldfish bowl) a lot of white bowls and things, some glasses and a carrying tray. Possibly other stuff. And a lot of food.

Edit: oh, and vodka.

Cafetiere would be grand, if no-one else has claimed it. The plant sounds cool. Not sure re the food. We have no space for the other things. :D

Apart from the vodka. I'm sure we'd love to put that into our alcohol cupboard.

That sounds good.
If you want the plant, do you want it complete with goldfish bowl, or would you rather just have the tiny pot it stands in? It is a tiny plant. Some sort of ginseng.
