When I just think of the shit we (well, my parents) would get if we let our (i.e. my parents' ) cows stay on someone else's field for a day..Well, in your shoes many would be livid.

(Although the worst dicks are the city people with summer cottages. People with livestock or those who are used to them are always more understanding).
