I assume they are saying would be allowable to make purchasing insurance a condition for being treated. They could probably even force them to sign a contract for and extended amount insurance not just sell them insurance to cover this one visit. They would not be violating their constitutional rights if they said pay us what it will cost or sign this contract for five years worth of insurance. The patient would then being making a choice to buy insurance or not be treated.
