I'm not saying that the news outlets probably don't have reasons that they mostly show cases like this involving white women, but I agree with Ghav that the trend is still there.
Really, I think it just comes down to the fact that the media has stopped actually just reporting the news and has basically made news shows into the next big reality show
If they just reported the news objectively and without this ridiculous circus show they spin everything into, people probably wouldn't give a rat's batoodie.
