Have you considered mounting guns directly on the arms of some of the children, and strapping them to the side of the helicopter? It would increase the range of fire. Interesting, interesting. I have to go run some tests.
Side mounting worried us for the weaponry. Mostly because we thought powerful explosive releases of tiny projectiles would send the little copter into a slow spin. We settled on centralized mounting. Perhaps forward and underneath.
