There is no rioting in Edinburgh. This is, however, what might be considered rioting in certain parts of that very genteel city. In context, it is extremely funny, I reckon.
An important sentence appears to have [mysteriously] disappeared from my post. Without its scene-setting, jaw-dropping, inspirationally hilarious context it would seem to the reader that my brain took a left turn at Hartlepool and hasn't been since since.

All Wongs are wont to be hale and hearty, intelligence aside. Wee man is almost 10 and appears to have sprung a leak in his leg bones; am tempted to place bricks on his head to keep him from sprouting through the roof...
