Her timing was bad as well. Texas economy was showing signs of out performing the rest of country right when she tried to make HPV and issue. People cared a lot more about the economy than about HPV but she was to slow to recognize that that the political landscape had shifted. In 2012 people are going to be more concerned with the economy than they are with accents. I know the NYT has already launched their Texas unmiricale campaign but they tried the same tactic on Clinton when most of his job growth was in low paying jobs at chicken processing plants.
