And my severe motion sickness from roller coasters extends to planes. I fought it all flight and finally barfed during the landing. It was a horrible experience

Awesome! Did you do it in one of the little barf bags like on TV? I always wondered if they actually exist. They seem to be close at hand whenever a character needs to barf on a flight. Also don't feel bad. I am almost 30 and haven't flown except in a helicopter for a short ride which I don't think really counts. I don't have the motion sickness thing but aren't there pills for that? Maybe next time you can pop one of them and there won't be any vomiting.
About to take off on my first flight

Definitely a window seat for your first flight. After which you should always get an aisle seat.

Dramamine. Pop two of them 30 minutes to an hour before the flight.
