Do you have a picture of your new family member? b.alicia Send a noteboard - 23/09/2009 05:33:15 AM
Someday, I hope to get into a home that would support my dream of getting a puppy. I tend to like dogs that don't shed and are small enough to really be a lap dog. (Example? A yorkie).

What type of dog would you like to own or do you own? Why?

That's it. Have a nice day!

I have "always" had two Irish Setters - big furry lads hitting the scales at 70 lbs (32 kg) or more. Yes they shed, but not that much, and it is minimised with brushing.

Since we lost one of the pair to bone cancer, and decided not to trust the gene pool for Irish Setters anymore, we now have an 8-month-old Standard Poodle puppy as a companion to our huge 110 lb (50 kg) last Irish Setter.

The poodle does not shed. All the dead fur stays locked in his coat and it has to be got out - much more work than the Irish Setter, I can assure you.

Both my lads are lap dogs if I let them. Lap crushers too!

For me, the best dog is one that is happy, healthy and loved. All else is fashion.

You can see his 'cousin' in my profile pic. I love poodle personalities. And Frisco is so mellow...he just wants to be part of the group.
