I have lots of candles, flashlights, and most importantly little clip on book reading lights. Plenty of non perishable food (that means cookies, potato chips, and beef jerky, right?). Lots and lots of drinking water, and all the pots are filled with water, and there are buckets of water in the bathrooms for flushing in case there's no running water.
It'll be interesting to see just how badly my parents' house does (my parents are staying elsewhere, obviously). The house is in Zone A and we're 2 blocks from the water. Not only that, but somehow our street is very low compared to neighboring streets and it regularly floods from regular rain. Possible draining issues. My dad has actually submitted complaints that our street doesn't drain enough, that it has to be fixed. So it'll be interesting.
