not on the whole. It's just that the bad humans tend to fuck shit up so memorably. A lot of good is done every day by people...but it's hardly even noticed, much less commented upon.

And of course there would be technological and cultural differences. That's not a bad thing. We could learn from each other. I suppose each group changing due to the knowledge gained from the other could be considered a form of annihilation...it depends on if you're the sort of person who sees change as a good thing or not.


Can you name an example of when 2 groups of people with significant disparity in technology encountered each other for the first time, and it turned out well?
