Instead I met with an old friend for coffee, stumbled into my old boss and caught up with him, had a huge lunch and an even bigger dinner at my parents' place, went for a walk beside a river as evening fell, and curled up with my fiance on a couch to read and watch hockey on the tv. I'm satisfied with my choices.

Glad it sounds like people had fun though!
