I don't know what you consider to be "Locke's principles," but I can say with certainty that in his Second Treatise of Civil Government, Locke states that in his opinion governments are formed by people willingly giving up some of their power in order to form an organization that will protect their liberty and property. That automatically negates Communism or other such ideas, due to being violations of those principles.

As for the ideals of a democracy, they are, similarly, to protect personal liberties and rights. The free-market system does not violate that at all, because the whole point of a free-market is that things happen voluntarily. It is Communism that is incompatible with democracy, because under Communism, there are no rights that are respected or enforced, and instead people live under a tyranny.
