1. Favorite genre of music?


Regular rock / folk rock / pop-rock / I dunno if those are sub-genres or genres or what.

2. Least favorite?


I don't go in for jazz, heavy metal, or the majority of rap (but there are some rap-ish songs I like).

3. Favorite Band?


I don't even know if I can answer that anymore. Once upon a time I would have told you it was Our Lady Peace, but that doesn't hold anymore. Hmm. Matthew Good is probably my favourite overall. Also ranking high are groups such as Mumford & Sons, Stars, Arcade Fire, Metric, Counting Crows, Our Lady Peace, Dave Matthews Band, and I still love the older works of Sarah McLachlan. And then of course I adore individual songs from different groups. Florence + The Machine, The Editors, Naked and Famous, Jeremy Messersmith, Passion Pit ...

4. Least favorite?


I don't know. I don't tend to listen to things that I'm not interested in, and I don't really listen to radio, so I couldn't even tell you for example what a Justin Bieber song sounds like.

5. The best album you've heard this year is...


Whatever that latest Mumford & Sons album was. Before that, the latest Matthew Good and Arcade Fire albums.

6. Best concert you've been to this year is...


Haven't been to one this year. The last one I went to was in late 2009, a Matthew Good concert for his most recent album.

7. Do you play any instruments?


I sure don't. I learned a few basic notes on a recorder once.
