When asked to name my home computers (for networking purposes, etc.), I invariably name them Jessica. It's just a name I really like. I don't plan to do that with the next computer I buy (which with any luck won't be for another couple years).

I also had a habit of naming my vehicles, up until one of them betrayed me in Middle of Nowhere, Montana, five hours from home and eleven hours from my destination, buggering up so badly I had to abandon it. My latest car has remained nameless. Technology can only truly betray you if it has a personality. Without that, all it can do is stop working.

So ... no, I'm afraid I have to conclude that you're the crazy one here.
