Then you should know there are fewer conservatives on the site now. Ghavrel Send a noteboard - 30/11/2011 03:41:10 AM
Then, there were the conservatives Nekro, dartboard, SR71, and, you claim, you, under whatever screenname you had. Additionally, damookster frequently provided a rightward-moderate position.

These days, the only people who post conservatively are you, Isaac, and occasionally MightyYT. Tom occasionally posts things of a fiscally conservative nature, but he has always done that.

I largely stopped posting politically on this site as I grew older, for a combination of reasons. Primarily, it is because arguements on this site rarely evolve beyond disputing facts and sources. On the rare occasions that they do (typically the novel-length discussions between Isaac and Joel), they are generally discussions that either have been repeated countless times or ones that I don't think I have anything constructive to offer in.
"We feel safe when we read what we recognise, what does not challenge our way of thinking.... a steady acceptance of pre-arranged patterns leads to the inability to question what we are told."

Probably the easiest solution is to have a filter instead, save the new board for a "Writers Board" - 24/11/2011 06:47:33 AM 601 Views
