having some supernatural creatures in Scooby Doo teaches kids that not everyone plays by the rules of the verse, sure the ghost is Old Man Jenkins, with a fairly justifiable reason for scaring people, 9/10 of the time but there's that 1/10 of the time where the bad guy dosen't play by the Scooby verse's rules i.e the guy from the Witches' ghost film.
