Well, that's a bit misleading- the class obviously matters. But once you're going for a master or PhD, your teachers become incredibly important. A good friend of mine chose NYU over Harvard for her advanced degree, simply because Harvard's teachers in her "specialty" (Franco-African history) weren't as acclaimed/accomplished/good as the ones at NYU.
