Depending on circumstances, I'll either be going down through Lubbock and then San Antonio, or through Fort Worth and Austin before San Antonio. Is there anything in particular that lends one route an advantage over the other?
Personally however, I will be disappointed if Texas turns out to be anything other than a vast cactus-filled desert with bandit crossings over the interstates and "y'all" written on every sign. No Parking, Y'all. All Y'all Trespassers'll Be Shot On Sight, Y'all.
