Tebow was a part of that, and a big one (we were 1-4 without him, after all) but the difference between our defence since Orton left is as remarkable as it is inexplicable. The difference since we lost Brian Dawkins is a lot more understandable, and that is going to screw us against the Pats just like last time, but hopefully we can keep Brady off the field running McGahee and his scrub backups for 250 yards like we did last time, not fumble on our end of the field three times, and win.

I guess I asked for this, but it was NOT my intention to bring the Gatorade vs. Haterade debate to RAFO; I get enough of that at Broncos Forums. Tebow is neither hopeless nor flawless: He is a talented second year QB who has done far better than anyone expected but still needs a lot of work before anyone can say he is our franchise QB. I think he will get there; his first real off season, a confidence boosting playoff win and a lot of work with Elway should make a world of difference in a player with the physical and mental ability the job requires AND the work ethic to exploit those opportunities. Right now, however, we just do not know, and anyone claiming otherwise--either way--is just buying (or selling) a narrative they want to believe, in defiance of the record.

I am not saying you are buying into any narrative, just trying to avoid going over that precipice. Trust me, it is NOT a fun place to be (at least RAFO does not have a horde of Gator members who only joined when their boy showed up and barely said a word until he became the starter.)
