Maybe take away his GM powers, because some of his GM decisions the last few years were questionable (mainly drafting defensive players like Jarvis Moss,) and he might have quit over that, in which case he would have forced their hand, but outright firing him was premature, IMHO.

I am not a fly on the wall at Dove Valley, but the generally understood view was that Belicheat had a man crush on Tebow and McDumbass jumped the gun to make sure the Pats did not get him first, but drafting a guy with as many question marks as Tebow had is rolling some pretty big dice at #25 overall. Though, in fairness, McDumbass had already driven Cutler out of town at that point, so we really did need a QB, thanks to his ineptness. Assuming he could turn Tebow into that QB was a very arrogant assumption, however. At this point, McDumbass needs Tebow, Thomas, Ayers and a couple other guys to play whole careers like they did Sunday to convince ANYONE he can even tie his shoes without Belicheat holding his hand; frankly, I am not holding my breath. I am sure we will get two or three really great players out of those two drafts, but with 19 freakin' picks we could do that choosing at random.
