I know what the fucking word professional means, I argued that I don't think the common usage matched the narrow definition. If that is too nuanced of a concept for you I really don't know what to say.

As for hyperbole
from wiki:
"Hyperboles are exaggerations to create emphasis or effect."

Wow using "when did you cease raping children?" as an equivalent of "what is your profession" sure sounds like an exaggeration to create emphasis or effect. Either way it is close enough to make your complaints about hyperbole little more than hypocrisy.
