I do wish more produce was available in an "only buy what you need" format, though, because I can have that problem too even though there are 2 of us. I'm getting better about how to plan for multiple uses out of the same stuff though. What I really need to start doing is finding ways to avoid wasting things by freezing/keeping to make stocks and such, but I haven't taken the time to research that and don't currently have the freezer space to do too much of it.
I was going to say the same thing - it gets easier to plan and use as you get more used to it. I try to make vegetables fit in where they maybe shouldn't. I'm putting spinach in the lasagne tonight, just because I have some left.
I'm sure this will get better when I retire and can just go to the grocery store 4 times a week

Riiiight.
Still doing well on the diet. Mostly.

I usually need my iPod to distract me on walks/runs, if I don't have another person there.
