I'm gonna guess here that this is in reference to Tim Pawlenty and how he is fairly 'mild-mannered'... otherwise you've totally lost me, and I don't prefer mild-mannered candidates. My preference is a slight modification of the Buckley rule, 'vote for the most conservative candidate who can get elected' for me becomes 'vote for the most conservative candidate who can effectively push the agenda forward'. If you were getting at something else, as I imagine was the case, you will probably have to spell it out.
Romney when he wakes up in the morning is not the same Romney that he is when he leaves his home/hotel room. As soon as he is in public he is something else, he is wearing a costume.
Romney's current costume for the last 6 years is how he views conservatives and the Republican party. Romney's past costumes is how he views Massachusetts independents, republicans, and moderate democrats. The public Romney though is just an invention and it is painfully obvious when Romney messes up and lets things "slip." Romney can't attract passion for people feels he is inauthentic and not real which is similar to how forgettable and boring Clark Kent is.
What does it say about Superman when he views the voters in such a way? What does it say about a man who is this inauthentic.
Who would you really vote for?
