I've spent the last, oh, 5-ish months applying for PhDs at various places in the US and the UK (and one place in Germany). Over the last month, I received funded offers from quite a few of those places, and have been in the process of narrowing things down.

Today, I finally made up my mind and filled out official forms and stuff, and made it all scarily real.

I'll be starting a PhD in Mathematical Physics at the University of Glasgow this September.

I feel like I just started university; I have no idea how I got so old and grown up!

Come a long way, you have. Talk like Yoda when sleep deprived I do. Consider Interpretative Dance Physics you should. :P

Congrats though, I know it was not always easy, but you have become quite a (favorably) impressive young woman even by the high standards you previously set. I hear you hearing new things, too, so congrats on that as well. Good things DO happen to good Spritelings! :)

Keep us posted, please. And I remain convinced photons are strings, because I am stubborn like that (you may not have noticed. ;))
