I can see how spanking a child that isn't old enough to understand why they're being spanked is a waste of time, and that spanking may not always be the best tool for the job. But, I guess i'm failing to see how this study comes to any conclusions, other than what it appears the researchers (and the story's author) wanted it to come to in the first place.
