Mayo is awful. Mayo in a sandwich makes the sandwich taste like nothing but mayo, to me.

I don't disagree with the second sentence - if there's good things on the sandwich, it's a bit silly to drown their taste in mayo. Fries with mayo, though - good fries with good mayo, mind - are fantastic.
I actually eat my sandwiches dry. No mayo, mustard, butter, anything of the sort. I like bread, meat, cheese. I feel certain you will agree that this is sensible.

Butter can be good. The rest, agreed.
