If the baby is very young, you're essentially promising to disrupt the theatre when the child wakes up and starts crying. If the baby is older, you're exposing it and the people around you to crying when something scary happens and you're exposing the child to images, language and situations that are completely inappropriate.

I can't believe I have to actually explain that, given that everyone else who has responded to that point has been unanimous in their statement of the same thing. You're either pretending to be stupid or trying to start an argument for no good reason.
