Hey all,

I hope to once again be a part of a group of folks I once felt to be like family.

A bit of an update on me:

1. I am now married and happier than I thought possible.

2. I had a major battle with depression, diabetes, heart trouble and bleeding ulcers.....this wound up with me having to go on disability.

3. I spend my daytime hours taking care of my elderly invalid father.

So....what have I missed and who is here that remembers me? :)

Oh wait, let me get all that SECness out of my system now...OK...

Very good to hear from you, Brad, and even better to see that you have found happiness after the storm :D

As for myself, I'm in the midst of several important changes...or perhaps reversions to a better person. If you're going to be active here, I guess I should pay more attention here and pick on you as necessary ><img class=' />

Yeah. Been working as a teacher in residential treatment centers for most of the past four years. Last place closed its adolescent program some months ago, but I recently had a positive interview that led to a background check being ordered, so I have hopes of being hired shortly (depending on how long the government takes to determine that I have no criminal record).

Also am now a published translator, with the most prominent being a translation appearing in the anthology The Weird, that Tor published in the US back in May.

After a health scare of my own in December (I had gained nearly 80 lbs. from 2007-2011), I've lost 50 lbs. since then due to diet changes and regular walking/lifting weights.

I occasionally like to threaten people with rabid squirrels.
