But really, sex sells, it's a commonly known fact. So if a photographer has a choice between taking a picture showing the full player, or just showing said player's ass (and a volleyball, making the picture sports related!), that photographer will choose the latter, because it'll sell more. If someone is to blame it's whatever organization decides what uniforms players will wear. On the other hand, being a guy I'm perfectly happy with beach volleyball keeping its current uniforms. But maybe that's because I don't see it as a real sport. There's already an indoor volleyball, so beach volleyball just seems like an add-on... One that closely resembles a game played by people on beaches, while wearing the same skimpy outfits everyone wears on the beach. So making a sport out of that just seems like pandering to viewers. *shrug* Maybe I'm way off base here, but that's the image of it I have, and I don't follow olympic coverage so the images of female asses didn't warp my mind or anything. Rather I'd say those images are like that because that's the image most people have of beach volleyball.
