Morello essentially compares Manson to Christie.
I didn't read that as being a comparison of the two people, just that they were both examples of people who liked music that was completely opposite to their own actions/beliefs.
That's what it is. Which is why I said "essentially." Frankly, I think most people wouldn't be able to disassociate Manson from Christie in an analytical way after reading that. They may understand that they're only two examples, but they will still think of one when thinking of the other for a long time, even if they don't realize it. Does that make sense?
