I had not thought of it that way, but supporting Obama as an anti-Clintonian only to discover the rhetoric concealed another typical Third Way politician is still no argument for the one first rejected. Still, if there is little policy difference between them, she still brought to the table a wealth of experience and legislative networking Obama so painfully lacks. It might not have helped, but supplying the qualities keenly felt in Obama could not have hurt.
