Total touchdowns scored by Tony Romo in Super Bowls: zero.

It might interest you to know that the NFL regular season passing leader has NEVER won the Super Bowl. Tom Brady came the closest in 2007, actually having the lead with 36 seconds left in the game. So what are stats worth? Phil Simms was 22/25 in his Super Bowl, but no one is looking to put him in the Hall of Fame. The Giants only retired his number as an apology for cutting him to save money.
And your amusing little rant of course overlooks the point that they all didn't totally screw up IN THE POSTSEASON. If you stand tall when it matters, people blow off these Week 1 chokes. The whole point of the Tony Romo standard is these guys pace themselves and actually make all those announcer-jizz-inducing rollout touchdowns (carried 20 yards on the ground by a future Hall of Fame receiver, but it's still credited to the QB, as if he threaded the needle to hit an open man square on the hands in the back corner of the end zone), count for something.
The tortoise and the hare got this - why can't Tony? It doesn't help that he presents as douchey an image as possible. Don't flaunt the celebrity girlfriend or take trips to Cabo when your first playoff game is in the offing.
These people are entertainers, and if image and what people say about them matters, they have to work on that image. Win the Super Bowl first, and then you can skate on the rape charges and lose a playoff game to an 8-8 team on a Tim Tebow TD pass. Win three close and exciting Super Bowls, pick up a couple of MVPs and then you can put on big emotional displays when you get bad calls or teammates screw up or ditch one celebrity girlfriend for a younger, hotter celebrity girlfriend. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. And in his defense, I have never heard of Romo whining about the criticism like his fans.
