... that if you're only attracted to him physically and have serious doubts about the emotional and mental side of the equation (both about him and about the relationship in general), then the sooner called off the better. You could always try explaining yourself to him and seeing what he does, but if you're not up for that either, then yeah, delaying the end may only make things worse.

Both of you seem to have a lot of issues here and neither of you seem to really know how to deal with them. That's the sense I get, anyway.

Remembering stories from wotmania, I've got to say, you seem to have the weirdest relationships with guys. :p
