Ah. I am glad I live in a newish place now. 
Yeah it can be interesting at times but it's a great place to live so I think it's generally to the benefit of residents.
Kitchen lighting: how are you having that done? I get really frustrated by the fact that our place just has a central light fixture so it's hard to see clearly in winter, and winter is LONG in this part of the world.
Mm yeah lighting is definitely something we've been thinking a lot about as the kitchen is currently somewhat cave-like. We're going for undercounter LED lights and then 3 lights hanging from a rail or something evenly spaced over the island. &maybe one in the middle of the ceiling for good measure
depends what we find when the current kitchen and the walls are removed. Keep 'em coming!! Ta ducky!
