Where's your nearest airport? Flights from Norway can't be *too* much. And remember that Norwegians are much more liberal about holidays that Americans!

Orbitz and Expedia show roundtrip flights that weekend for ~$400 US (2300 kr, £250, €300)/person. That is about twice what I expected, but might work if I ever find someone willing to hire an illiterate foreigner; otherwise we stay home and eat Ramen. ;) Employment here has proven far more challenging than anticipated, but I am supposed to hear back on a job within an hour or so, and that may ultimately tell the tale.
