Mind you, i've been married for 7 years, but there are somethings that I tried to avoid when I was still dating.
1. Facial tattoos: I have no issue with tattoos, but having them out and visible on your face would have been a no-go for me. Maybe i'm just to conservative.
2. Self pity: Let's face it, nobody wants to be with Debbie Downer. I see these people on my Facebook timeline, and have muted more than a few of them. The world is crap sometimes, but not all the time. We're dating, so I am interested in your life, but i'm not responsible for all of your drama.
3. Marriage material: I was hit on a few times by already married women, and it was more than uncomfortable for me. Didn't need that kind of headache. Also, if you're married.. please don't lick me in public.
Personally, if I had to go down the dating road again, i'd be looking for very different things that I was all those years ago. I'm older, have a good job and kids. The skills I learned back then wouldn't be compatible any more.
