First, really consider how massively HUGE Earth is...

...and yet, its gravitational force is countered and its acceleration record broken by such pitiful creatures as us everyday without the slightest wonder that it should be possible.

An entire Earth's worth of gravity is still a real wimp.

Jumping on trampolines or boarding airplanes cannot overcome Earths gravity, after all. It takes a LOT of force for even small amounts of matter to escape the planet. Even the shuttle could not; rather than humans overcoming Earths gravity "every day," we only had that ability for the six years or so the Saturn V was in service.
