it would be more like your employer saying you need to give them your medical history, tax forms, and a list of the people who you have had sexual relations with over the course of your lifetime before they give you a paycheck. unless your job depends on any combination of information contained in these documents, there is no requirement for you to give them that info. similarly, there is no reason for obama to give in to trump's narcissism and produce these documents just to satisfy the current right wing conspiracy of the week.
