Um, I am pretty sure that stuff travels by internet and radio, not by sea. Joel Send a noteboard - 25/10/2012 11:27:17 PM
Romney tried to channel his inner Patton and suck up to Norfolk and Pensacola voters, but only managed to expose his total ignorance of Iran, Iraq, Syria and basic military strategy. It really is that simple.

Look at this way: Suppose I concede the claim Iran actually cares about Mediterranean access AND cannot easily get it via the Persian Gulf and then Suez. How can a country with NO IRANIAN BORDER give them a route to the sea even if they needed one? The whole point of a route to the sea is to launch ships without going overland; since Iran must go overland just to reach Syria, how does Syria aid that goal?

Romney was asked the capital of CA and pointed to Botswana; he only got away with it because most of the audience did not know (or want to) where it is either.
