What Trump is currently doing is ridiculous, but extortion it definitely isn't. Rather it is more like a bet. And a bet with a charitable end, besides. The only ridiculous thing about it is that it is a bet a person shouldn't be expected to perform. Sort of like when someone dares someone else to do something supremely stupid.
